Slate is a beautiful, natural stone with vibrant colors and unique textures, but with time and regular use, it loses its impressive appearance and becomes dirty-looking, even with regular cleaning. It's a sedentary stone so it will "flake" as it gets older.
Slate is a porous stone that needs to be properly cleaned and sealed after
installation and periodically thereafter. We provide professional cleaning and sealing services for all kinds of slate, from a smooth finish to a cleft or rough finish.
There are several different ways to finish slate, such as color enhancers, penetrating sealers and others. The type of sealer used will determine the finished look. We can achieve a gloss finish, matte finish or a low luster finish for you.
